My Foolish Heart is the third book in the Boys of Bridgewater series by Bella Michaels.  It’s the first book I have read in the series, but I don’t feel like I missed anything by not reading the first two books.  Although after finishing this book I really want to go back and read them.  The book was fast-paced and caught my attention from the beginning.  The Deluca family was tight-knit, and the siblings were boisterous with plenty of witty banter when they got together. 

Tristano “Tris” Deluca was certainly swoon-worthy with his romantic gestures and determination in pursuing Evie Fuller.  He was able to see the real Evie and understand her loneliness and goals.  Evie had no family left and wanted to continue the legacy of her mother’s restaurant.  They were direct competitors in the small town with them both owning an Italian restaurant, but their goals were different.  Good communication between Evie and Tris became the most important factor in their relationship.  I was so glad they were able to work it out in the end.

I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the first two books.  (The entire series is currently available as Kindle Unlimited.) I look forward to future books in the series and more of the Deluca family get-togethers.

Wow! This was seriously the most hilarious book ever and it started before the first chapter with the warning!  I’m not sure if it is because I am experiencing these things with my own mom so I can relate but I laughed so hard.  (So, beware of the bladder incontinence warning.)  It started an enemy to lover trope and ended as an opposite attraction rom-com.  The entire group of Sunny Creek Village characters added fun and entertainment to the story.  They were hilarious and full of spunk.

Ryan and Carly were exact opposites but were able to commiserate with each other over their parent’s shenanigans.  I loved how Carly was able to get Ryan to let go and live life.  The author leaves us with a potential match between another couple of opposite personalities.  I loved this book and hope to read many more future books with the Sunny Creek Village characters.

This is a story that will break your heart and make you cry from all the emotions.  It was sad but had a happy ending.  It took us on a journey of traumatic events for June, a young teenager to the strong woman she became.  As the story unraveled my heart hurt for all she went through and survived.  Her being able to return to her childhood home and marry a man who would not believe or listen to her proved the strength of her character.  Alex might have loved June, but his lack of trust and hate was too strong. 

I loved how sassy June was so even though I cried, I laughed also.  The book was like an emotional rollercoaster and I would recommend it but please beware of the warning of triggers.  This book might not be for everyone because it does touch on very difficult topics.

Hard Luck is the fourth book in The Trophy Boyfriends series. This was a new-to-me author and I’m so glad I discovered this series and author. The book was fast-paced and grabbed my attention at the start. The characters were developed and perfect for each other.
True Wallace discovers she is pregnant after a one-night stand with Mateo, her brother Buzz’s teammate. She was evicted from her apartment and is staying with Tripp, her older brother. She did not know how to tell Mateo or her family about her pregnancy. Mateo could not believe True was ghosting him. He thought they had formed a connection and he was determined to find her. Mateo was such a swoon-worthy hero. He was so sweet and understanding. I love how he was so dedicated to his family. The Wallace family was so hilarious, and I laughed every time they came together. I loved the rivalry between the siblings and the snarky banter. I enjoyed this book so much that I had to go, and binge-read the rest of the series! I excited to see who the characters in the next book will be.

My review:

Treasured in Turtle Bay is the first book in the new series Kailua Marines. I’ve not read a lot of this author’s books, but I have enjoyed the ones I have. The author has a way of drawing the reader in and making them feel like part of the story. The characters always touch my heart and I love how she weaves characters from previous books into her new books. It is always nice getting an opportunity to see previous characters and getting a glimpse into their lives. This was truly an opposite attract troupe because the main characters were extreme opposites. Molly was organized and lived for structure whereas Roman was very laid back and had a fly by the pants sort of lifestyle. I truly loved getting to know them and seeing how they were able to mesh their lives together with all their differences. The author leads us into the next book with the epilogue and it looks like another awesome book. I can’t wait to read it!

My review:

Sweet Rogue of Mine is the ninth book in The Survivors Series. This has been such an amazing series and this book continues the trend. The series is based on a group of soldiers during the Napoleonic war called the Survivors. They were a team of soldiers that Lieutenant Colonel Benedict Daven (from the fifth book in the series) was ordered to put together that took on suicide missions. There were thirty men in the group but only twelve made it back to England alive. The books can be read as standalone but it’s such a great series that you will want to read them all.
Nash Pope had lost his sight on the battlefield. As a sniper for the military, losing his sight devastated him. He has not been able to resume a normal life after returning to London. Certain triggers send him back to the battlefields and the memories haunt him. The Earl of Beaufort, his father sent him to Wentmore, the family’s country house, to hopefully recover. When Beaufort threatens to send Nash to an asylum, one of the Survivors is sent to help get Nash straightened out.

They brought her to England and then left her with the vicar in the small town of Milcroft. She tries to behave and not cause trouble, but trouble seems to follow her. Meeting Nash set off her curious mind and she’s intrigued by him. When she hears about his father’s threats of sending him to an asylum she’s determined to help him.
I was so glad to finally read Nash’s story. We saw him in the previous books and his bitterness and anger made him lash out at his brothers-in-arms. The book captured my attention in the beginning and I could not stop reading until the end. It draws you in and you feel like you are part of the story. The characters were charming and they were perfect for each other. As always with this series, I can’t wait for the next book!
