My review:
Coaching the Nanny is the first book in the Wildcatters
Hockey series. It was a hockey coach
needing a nanny romance that was heartbreaking.
It was well written, and the pacing was right on. The main characters were charming, and
Beatrix was an adorable little girl.
Silas Whittaker had lost contact with his family years ago
and was caught unaware when he received a call telling him his sister had died
and left him in charge of a grieving eight-year girl. Becoming an instant parent was terrifying for
Silas and with no knowledge of children, he turns to the Practically Perfect
Nanny for help.
Paloma Concord has been a nanny all her life. She loved her two charges, but they have
grown up and started college. Now she
needs a job to help pay for her mother’s health care but is afraid of having
her heart broken again after getting attached to someone else’s children. She
becomes attached to Beatrix but fears that Silas will find her dad and give
Beatrix up.
Paloma and Silas both came to love Beatrix so when the
possibility of losing her comes up, they are both heartbroken. They were an amazing couple and watching
their friendship and love for Beatrix grow was wonderful. It was an emotional book but one that leaves
you smiling at the end. I look forward
to the next book in the series.
