My review:

Blowout is the fifth book in the Breakers Hockey series by Elise Faber.  We met Jules in the previous books, and she always kept to herself and seemed withdrawn. I was so excited to see her and Cas’s book and couldn’t wait to read it.  I really loved seeing her open up and allow Cas into her life.  Cas was so sweet and patient waiting for her to learn to trust him.  There were sparks flying between them from the beginning.  Also, Jules’s son, Ethan, was so adorable and funny.  Although I enjoyed the book, I don’t feel like it had the “wow” factor like the previous books.  It was a light low angst romance and predictable.  But I still recommend the book if you like humor, hockey players, and romance.

Bad Rebound is the first book in the Billionaire’s Club: Bad Brothers.  We met the main characters in the Bad Best Friend book and get to revisit the characters from it. 

Teresa was tired of her overbearing family and friends trying to take care of her and feels like her family have put her on a pedestal.  She wants to start her own business without the help of her friends and family but feels like she isn’t getting any support from her family.  As for Jeremy, he is just another person who continues to take over and do everything for her.

Jeremy has loved Teresa for years, but she has been in a relationship with someone else.  When she announces her relationship is over, he sees his chance.  He couldn’t understand why Teresa turns him down or why the women in his life are so frustrated with him when all he wants to do is help them.   

Teresa’s character was not pleasant and yes, I understand wanting to be independent.  I hated how she went off on Jeremy without really explaining to him.  Jeremy seemed like a great guy but never took care of himself.  He was so busy helping others that he didn’t know what he wanted from life.  I am a huge fan of Elise Faber, but this book didn’t work for me.  Teresa was harsh and Jeremy’s transformation was too much.  It felt like the book dragged and it became too mushy and fake for me once the main characters did get together.

My review:

Bewitched is the fifth book in the Breakers Hockey series and it is a heartbreaker.  You will certainly need a box of tissues to read this emotional story.  I’ve loved the series and this one truly was a tear-jerker, but you will be smiling at the end. 

Beth was a side character in previous books, and I have been anxiously waiting for her book and her chance at finding happiness.  She was so sweet and such a good friend to help her friends by being a surrogate mother.   Raph was a great guy who had been burned by his previous girlfriend when she lied about being pregnant.  It destroyed his world and being around the pregnant Beth was hard for him, so I was so glad when he chooses to overcome his grief and have a future with Beth.  They were perfect for each other. I can’t wait for Cas’ story, Blowout, which is the next book in the series.
