My review:

Blind Pass is the second book in the Carolina Comets series by Teagan Hunter.  This has been a great series and I have loved meeting the Comet team members.  The book was fast-paced, was well written with a grumpy hero and a cheerful heroine.  I was very excited about Adrian and Ryan’s story after meeting them in the first book.  Adrian’s life changed after a hockey accident left his face scarred and he became more withdrawn and self-conscious.  His scar never bothered Ryan and she was able to see him for the wonderful guy he was.  I loved watching their slow-burn relationship grow until they realized they loved each other.  I truly enjoyed this book and can not wait for the next book in the series.

My review:

Take A Chance With Me is the eighteenth book in the With Me in Seattle series by Kristen Proby. I’ve not read all the books in the series, but I have read enough of them to adore the large and close-knit O’Callaghan family.  This is the fifth book of The O’Callaghan and even though they don’t have to be read in order, they are better that way.  Besides once you read one of them you are going to want to read them all!

This is Maggie and Cameron’s story and the tension between the two of them was high in the previous books.  I could not wait for this book, and it was so worth the wait.  It was engaging, had all the large family feel goods, and all the charming O’Callaghans.  Cameron always seemed mysterious in the previous books, and I loved getting to know him.  He was the calm to Maggie’s fire.  I was happy to see Maggie finally put the past behind her and start a new life with the man who had adored her forever.  This was such an amazing book and as much as I wanted to see this book, I am sad it is the last one for the O’Callaghan family.

Heartless Sinner is the first book in the Made for the Mafia series. This was a new-to-me author, but the blurb and cover were eye-catching so I wanted to check it out. My attention was caught in the beginning, and I couldn’t put the book down until I finished it. It was fast-paced, full of intrigue, and the storyline was developed. I loved watching Marla and Vincent’s relationship grow. As a mafia capo, Vincent needed to get married according to his father. Vincent wanted a woman who was strong and could be his partner but finding such a woman was not easy. Until Marla arrived on his doorstep to ask for his help discovering who had killed her brother. She was the perfect woman for the job; she was tough and had grown up in the mafia world. Their marriage would be beneficial to them both. The book was full of twists and turns, and I was incredibly surprised by the ending. I really enjoyed the book, and I am glad I was able to read it. I look forward to the next book in the series.

My review:

Wild in Captivity is the first book in the Captivity Alaska series by Samanthe Beck.  I am still new to this author but WOW this book was awesome.  I cannot remember the last time I laughed so hard.  I love small-town romances and the town of Captivity, and its townspeople give you all the feel-goods of small towns.  

Trace had lost his brother and the loss and guilt he felt led him to sell his part of the family business.  L.A. lawyer Isabelle Marcano knew this was her chance to shine and make partner in the firm she works in.  All she had to do was fly to the backwoods of Alaska and close the sale.  Can this city girl survive life in the backwoods and close the deal?

I really loved this book and recommend it.  All the characters were charming, and I loved meeting the people of Captivity.  The book had it all; humor, compassion, grief, and romance.  The end of the book leads us into the next book and I cannot wait for it.

My review:

Just One Spark is the fourth book in The Kingston Family series by Carly Phillips.  The books can be read as stand-alone, but they are so much better if read in order.  I have come to adore the Kingston family and this book was just an example of why.  I have been looking forward to Dash’s book and it was amazing just as I hoped.  I loved seeing play-boy Dash turn his ways around and finally admit his feelings for Cassidy.  He takes the opportunity to win her over when his publicist suggests he and Cassidy fake date to improve his image.  Cassidy was serious about not falling for him again but slowly he shows her how committed to her he is.  I loved watching their relationship grow and Dash turn his life around.  This was another amazing book, and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
