My review:

It was so nice to be back in the world of the Comets!  I was so excited to see Smith’s book come out and it was just as amazing as I thought it would be.  You can’t help but laugh while reading these books, even when the hero is a big, broody hockey player.  The witty banter between the men will have you rolling.  

Two years prior, Emilia and Smith hooked up for one weekend before they realized they would be working together.  They spent two years avoiding each other until Emilia is forced to work with him for the team’s player profile.  The attraction is still there between them, but fraternizing is against the team’s policy and will get them fired.  

This was an amazing and entertaining book.  I highly recommend the series if you enjoy hilarious sports romances.  I can not wait for the next book which will be Miller’s.  He is by far the funniest player on the team.

My review:

One-Timer is the third book in the Carolina Comets series by Teagan Hunter.  Each book in the series can be read as standalones but they are so much better when read in order.  I have loved meeting all the players, watching as each one finds love, and building a family together.  This is Lowell and Hollis’s story and I have looked forward to it.

Hollis had discovered her husband had been cheating on her since before they were married and had recently signed her divorce papers. She was happy her sister was getting married but watching the love between Harper and Collin (from Puck Shy) was hard after being so disappointed in her own wedding.  Emotionally drained after the wedding she made a one-time bad decision and slept with Lowell.  

“I love you, Hollis.  I’m in love with you. Like really in love with you.  In fact, I think I might love you more than I love hockey.”

Lowell had been soured by relationships years ago when his ex-girlfriend claimed to be pregnant with his child.  He had proposed to her but had found out she had lied about the child and just wanted his money. Now he put hockey first no matter what and stayed away from relationships.  Discovering Hollis was pregnant from their one night together felt like history was repeating itself but this time he was doing things differently.  He was going to keep things in the friend zone with Hollis but somehow lines got crossed and things got confusing.  

This was one of those books I could not put down and once I finished it, I wanted more.  It was emotional and heartbreaking but oh so good!  I cannot wait for the next book in the series.  The tension between Smith and Emilia was so high that it will be an amazing story!

My review:

Blind Pass is the second book in the Carolina Comets series by Teagan Hunter.  This has been a great series and I have loved meeting the Comet team members.  The book was fast-paced, was well written with a grumpy hero and a cheerful heroine.  I was very excited about Adrian and Ryan’s story after meeting them in the first book.  Adrian’s life changed after a hockey accident left his face scarred and he became more withdrawn and self-conscious.  His scar never bothered Ryan and she was able to see him for the wonderful guy he was.  I loved watching their slow-burn relationship grow until they realized they loved each other.  I truly enjoyed this book and can not wait for the next book in the series.

My review:

Puck Shy is the first book in the Carolina Comets series.  This was a new-to-me author, and I am so glad I had the chance to discover her.  The book was fast-paced, interesting, and easy to read. 

Colin is an NHL hockey player whose contract is up for renewal with the Comets, and he is having a bad year.  He needs to focus on his game so he can stay with his team.  He does not need a relationship to distract him but finding Harley, the girl that almost ran him over, on a dating app must be destiny.  Harley is an artist, has no interest in sports, and loves horror movies.  She does not know the guy she has been chatting with on the dating app is Colin.  She has issues trusting men after discovering her father had cheated on her mother.  Can she trust Colin with her heart?

This was an entertaining book that was full of humor.  It left me with a smile on my face.  I enjoyed reading it and look forward to the next book.
