From New York Times & Wall Street Journal bestselling author Aurora Rose Reynolds comes a brand new romantic comedy about a girl who understands how short life is, and a man who quickly learns there are things way more important than money.
I had no idea that taking a temp job for the summer would send my life into a tailspin, but that’s exactly what happened when I started working for Jace Ellis.
One day I was his secretary and the next I was sitting on his private plane, wearing an obnoxiously large engagement ring, after he asked me if I would pretend to be his fiancé for one week.
I can admit that greed got the best of me. But the money he offered in exchange for my lie would help not only me, but my mom out tremendously.
I just had no idea what I was actually getting myself into.
I didn’t think about the fact that we would be sharing a bed, that we would have to pretend to like each other, and I sure didn’t know that I would be surrounded by his entire family at their annual family reunion.
But if the guy want’s a fiancĂ©, I’m going to be the best one he’ll ever have.
I just hope I can remember that this isn’t forever; it’s for never.
“I’m looking
for forever. I want that moment.”
Happily Ever
Never is a novella that falls after the second book in the Montgomery Ink
Legacy. The main characters are Leo, a
tattoo artist who works at Montgomery Ink Legacy, and May who is Leif
Montgomery and Brooke’s nanny. We met
them in the first book Bittersweet Promises when Leif and May were set up on a
double date by Lake. Obviously, that
didn’t work out, but my heart went out to May and her bad luck with
dating. I was so happy to see her
finally find someone but their path wasn’t easy. Leo was interested in May from the beginning
but loved his job and the Montgomery family and didn’t want to risk losing it
if things did not work out. May had the
worst luck at dating and I can understand her wanting to give up on finding her
forever. I was so glad she gave Leo a
chance when he finally asked her out.
This was a beautiful novella and even though it was short, it never felt
rushed. I highly recommend it. I know
the next book will be a heartbreaking story for Sebastian, but I cannot wait.
