Six overprotective older brothers.
One hopelessly single younger sister.
Her.
She was talking about herself.
Cora was the hopelessly single younger sister.
Because, God, she loved her brothers. But, hell, they were ANNOYING. And good at scaring off every single man she’d ever dated.
Sigh.
She just…wanted the happy ending, the man who’d love her and her flaws. The one who wouldn’t be scared off by her six scary—even to her, as much as she hated to admit that particular truth—older brothers.
But—another sigh—there didn’t actually appear to be a man on the planet who met those criteria.
So…circling back to the fact that she was hopelessly single and destined to remain that way.
Until one day there was a knock at the door.
And Rafe showed up, moved in, and—
Proved that her brothers’ best friend was the one man on the planet who wasn’t scared.

My review:
Bad Best Friend is the fourteenth book in the Billionaire’s Club series by Elise Faber. I have not read any other books in the series, but I have never had any trouble reading Ms. Faber’s books as a standalone. This book was fast-paced and was full of humor. I loved meeting all of Cora’s family and her brothers were adorable even if they were a little overprotective. I loved all the quick-witted joking between the siblings and found myself laughing out loud several times.
Rafe had grown up as part of Hutchins’s family but always felt his place in the family was dependent on his actions. He was afraid of losing the only family he knew so when he didn’t want to acknowledge his attraction to Cora. Her brothers were his best friends, and he knew how protective they were.
Cora had a childhood crush on Rafe but knew he thought of her as a sister. But when he moves in with her, both of their feelings start to change but she realizes how important her family is to Rafe. She doesn’t want to cause any problems between her brothers and Rafe, so they agree to keep their growing relationship to themselves.
Rafe’s fear of losing the Hutchins as a family affected Cora because she felt like she was not enough for him since he was not willing to fight for her and their relationship. I was so glad to see him realize that he was part of their family no matter what and their love was not conditional. I really enjoyed the book and I hope to see the Hutchins family in future books.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
