Release Date: March 1
USA TODAY Bestselling Author Claudia Burgoa brings us a light-hearted small-town romantic comedy full of a swoon-worthy billionaire, single dad romance, and big laughs.
I need a massive break.
So long to my cheating boyfriend and betraying roommate.
Goodbye hectic emergency room and long hours.
When I get an opportunity to take over my grandfather’s medical practice in Luna Harbor I happily accept the chance to try on a new life that holds sweet memories.
But I can barely think about anything at all when the new coffee shop/bar next to my practice always seems to be having an impromptu concert.
Who sets up a coffee and a bar in the same location as a music venue?
Fisher Hannigan, Head Man Child (ok, keyboardist) of the band Too Far From Grace, that’s who.
He’s also the man who can't stop flirting with me every time we meet. He’s having the time of his life, while I’m trying to run a quiet, unsuccessful medical practice.
Even though he infuriates me, our chemistry is off the charts and I can’t say I haven’t thought about giving him a full physical exam.
Until a baby changes everything.
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
My review:
Perfectly
You is the second book in the Luna Harbor series. I had no trouble with reading it as a
stand-alone although characters from other books do make appearances. The book was well written, and the pacing was
perfect. The main characters are likable
and genuine of course, the side characters add a lot of humor and witty
banter. The series is based on the band
members of Too Far From Grace who work for a high intelligence security company
and also works to revive the town of Luna Harbor.
“I never
thought I needed someone to save me, but I’m thankful that you came into my
life. You mend parts of me I didn’t know
were broken and others I never thought could be repaired.”
Fisher
“Fish” Hannigan, keyboardist, prankster, and also known as a heartbreaker, runs
the coffee shop and bar called Too Far From a Bar. He keeps people from getting too close with
his humor because in his past everyone he cared for left him. However, Nathalia intrigued him and seemed to
get him. After having an unknown
one-week-old son left with him, Fish needs help and turns to her.
New York ER
Dr. Nathalie Brennan spends her entire life trying to have her family’s
approval. After discovering her
boyfriend with her roommate, she has had enough and decides to finally do
something for herself. Her grandfather
had left her his share of his practice in the small town of Luna Harbor, she
thought it would be a perfect place to regroup.
It would have been the perfect place if her landlord didn’t have a
coffee shop/bar with loud music playing during the night under her
apartment. And if he would quit helping
her and flirting with her!
Nathalie and
Fish had similar pasts but they both wanted to belong. Nathalie always felt like she wasn’t wanted
and tried to please everyone to gain love, whereas Fish always left before he
was told to leave. They had so much in
common and their connection was strong from the beginning. I loved their witty
banter and watching their trust and relationship grow. I was cheering them on from the
beginning. I loved this light, funny
rom-com and cannot wait for the next one in the series.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
