My rating: 5 out of 5 stars

My review:

This was a new-to-me author and the blurb made me think it would just be a mystery romance.  But it was so much more!  We had plenty of twists and turns, intrigue, action, danger, faith, and second chances.  It was engaging and kept me on the edge of my seat.  It was a fast read but the storyline had many layers.  I loved that Isaac reminded Everly to have faith because hers had been declining after her mother died from cancer and her father’s health was declining.  Everly remembered Isaac not having faith during their marriage so his reminder to “walk by faith, not by sight” was encouragement for her.  I kept cheering for Everly and Isaac to solve the mystery so they could then examine their true feelings for each other.
