My review:
Make You Mine is the third book in the Honey Mountain series. While it can be read as a standalone the first two books were awesome, so I suggest starting there. When the second book hinted at Jace and Ashlan as the next couple I was so excited. It was everything I expected plus more! It has so many of the tropes I love, age gap, nanny romance, small-town, second chance romance, and large families.
Firefighter Jace King’s marriage had finally ended, and he needed to hire a nanny to watch his children when he was on duty. Ashlan was a perfect choice since his children already loved her and the Thomas family were friends. He knew the attraction he felt for her was forbidden but falling in love with her was worse.
Ashlan was the youngest Thomas sibling, and the nanny job was perfect for her. When she wasn’t watching the children, she was writing her romance novel. She thought she could keep her attraction and feelings for Jace under control, but it became impossible.
Throughout the series, we saw Jace’s devastation as his marriage deteriorated and how his children were affected. My heart went out to them so seeing them start to heal with Ashlan with her love, patience, and kindness was wonderful. I loved watching the slow burn between Ashlan and Jace as their friendship and attraction grew into love. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. The Thomas family and friends have touched my heart and I can’t wait for the next book.

Ever Mine is
the second book in the Honey Mountain series.
While it can be read as a standalone the first book is awesome, so I
suggest starting there. This book has
hockey, small-town drama, second chance romance, and large family upheaval,
everything I love in a book. I loved the
first book, Always Mine (Niko and Vivian’s book), where we met the Thomas
family and Everly and Hawk’s past was mentioned. After getting that hint, I could not wait for
this book. It was everything I expected
and better! I loved watching Everly and
Hawk rediscover their love and work together.
It was a heartbreaking story but seeing them find their way to happiness
was beautiful. The Thomas family and
friends have touched my heart and I can’t wait for the next book. I highly recommend the series.

I stop in mid-word, seeing a sight from heaven. She’s standing near the elevator, suitcases surrounding her, along with a huge case that looks almost as tall as she is. Her lips are beguiling, and her light brown eyes stand out against her olive skin. Long brown hair hooks over her breast like a comma taking a breath before continuing the sentence. I struggle to not let my eyes trail down the rest of her. I know I wouldn’t be disappointed, further proof that the last thing I needed to do was get married this weekend. I never cheated on Tiffany. Never even flirted with another girl while we were together, but damn if I don’t want to get to know this beautiful woman the second I’m free.
I’m simultaneously ashamed of myself and dancing on the inside.
Gus looks at me and smirks. We stand at the same height and his blue eyes are filled with mischief. He’s always been able to see right through me. He points behind him, already backing up. “I’ll run get us some coffee. Meet you in a few.”He hands me the key and I turn to the girl.
“Need some help?” I ask.
“I’ve got it.” She eyes my duffel bag. “Looks like you’ve got your hands full anyway.”
“That’s what he sai—” I stop when her eyes cut to mine. It’s obvious she is not in the mood for humor. “This? Nah.” The elevator dings and I hold it open for her. “At least let me help you get this inside.”
She nods and I move the suitcases in the elevator before she can change her mind.
“Thank you,” she says softly.
The door closes and we’re squeezed together. The space is tight as it’s a typical New York elevator. I can tell she’s uncomfortable. I am too for many reasons, but she’s the best kind of distraction. Her eyes skirt over everything but me.
I hold out my hand, barely able to get it fully extended between the two of us. “Jesse Taylor.”
“Mya Whitfield.” Her long eyelashes cast a shadow against her cheek as she looks down and then takes my hand in hers.
I feel the heat down to my bones and she must too because she pulls her hand away as if it’s on fire. It’s hard not to stare at her.
I should listen to my gut from here on out. Starting with asking for her number.
Scratch that.
Too soon.
Big mistake.
What the hell am I thinking?
I don’t ask for her number. We ride the rest of the way in silence and when we reach the eighth floor and the door opens, she starts pulling her things out. I pick up two suitcases and she points to the floor.
“Just set them right there, I can get it the rest of the way.”
“I don’t mind—”
“No, I appreciate it, but I’ve got it from here.” Damn, she’s gorgeous. She gives me a fleeting glance and the tiniest smile, but my heart speeds up like she’s just granted me blowjobs for life.
It’s official.
I am a sick bastard.
I try for a kind smile instead of the pervy one I’m feeling and watch her walk away. I take in the view.
Sweet Jesus.
The brothers are waiting for me inside my apartment on the floor below and I put Mya out of my mind. I don’t need to jump into anything new right now; besides, Mya looks like a forever kind of girl and I’ve just bailed on forever.

I’ve just hit the button for the twentieth floor when a black stiletto and an exquisitely shaped leg stops the elevator from closing.
My eyes get snagged on her curves and the blonde hair that falls like a lemon paradise over the front of her black suit. And up to the hateful eyes that are shooting venom at me.
“You.” She spits it out like I’m a bad taste in her mouth.
She wishes.
I fold my arms and stare at the woman who has become the bane of my existence since the day I first saw her on another elevator. In another building. The last building my brothers and I renovated.
She folds her arms and stares at me with the same disdain I’m throwing her way.
“Is it really my curse to be stuck in elevators with you for the rest of my life? Not to mention my favorite pub ... and holidays with my family?” My words are crisp and to the point.
She scoffs at me. Scoffs. Her perfect red lips are shaped in the foulest scowl known to man.
“Old Solemn,” she says.
Her ignorant nickname for me.
I roll my eyes.
“It appears you are stuck with me, yes. As long as you’re living in the same building as my BFF,” she says, looking down at her nails as if they’re more important than me. They match her lips. “It seems your brother and my Mya are going strong, so—” she shrugs, “you’ll have to get used to this face. Sorry. Not sorry.” Her eyes brighten and I know she’s going for the kill. “Can’t handle the heat, get out of the fire.”
I’m happy my little brother Jesse is in love and all that shit, but since his girlfriend comes attached to this spoiled wench in a supermodel disguise who chooses every opportunity to snipe at me, it has created a complication.
I don’t like complications.
“She-devil,” I say under my breath.
Her eyes narrow. “Stay on your side of the elevator,” she snaps.
I shake my head as we go up, the floors creeping slower than a sloth trying to stand up.
“Not a problem.” I stare straight ahead. “Although you certainly didn’t mind when w—”
Her hand flies across the elevator and covers my mouth. “Stop. Right. There. We agreed that was a one-off that shall not be named.”
