Men of Reynolds Restoration: Hard as Steel - Guaranteed Performance
Breaking The Speed Limit by Melanie Moreland is now live!
Single, but unsettled, Stefano Borelli, spends his days creating masterpieces loved by his clients. Surrounded by family and friends, his loneliness still plagues him.
Until she bursts into his life. A stubborn woman with too much baggage, too much to say, and a child in tow.
Far too much trouble.
Except, he likes her spark. The way she refuses to listen. How beautiful she is with her son. How right she feels in his arms.
The way she makes him feel whole.
Can he convince her to give love a second chance?
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
My review:
Stefano worked at Reynold’s Restoration shop creating masterpiece designs for motorcycles. He was intrigued by Gabby when he stopped to help her with her car. It was instalove at first meet and he was ready to have her in his life. However, he had to earn her trust first. Gabby and her son, Theo, had been running from her ex-boyfriend for years. Starting a relationship was the last thing she wanted because she knew she would be leaving one day. Can Stefano convince her to trust him to keep her and Theo safe?
Breaking the Speed Limit is the second book in Reynold’s Restoration series. After meeting Stefano in the first book, I was so excited to see his story. He was such a sweet guy, and this book certainly proves that. He was so open and protective of Gabby, and it was so sweet. I loved getting to see Charly, Maxx, Brent, and Chase again. The book was full of love, encouragement, and family. It was a book that will have your heart swooning and leave a smile on your face. I cannot wait for Brent’s book to be out.

Mine to Hold is a standalone romantic thriller, the fifth book in the interconnected Protection Series. Each book can be read as a standalone but due to character crossover the series is best read in order. Please note this book DOES contain several triggers (stalking, murder, mention of past abuse, memories of time in captivity, and more) and detailed mature content. This book is recommended for readers 18+.
Kennedy lives in Dallas with her husband, son, and 80lb Goldendoodle who still believes he’s a lap dog.
A bookworm at heart, Kennedy loves to snuggle up in bed or by the campfire with an unputdownable book.
She began writing two years ago with Falling for the Chance and has no plans of stopping. Her novels are witty, action-packed, and offer enough steam for a great facial.
If you like strong heroines and sexy, tattooed men who can’t keep their hands off them, then this author is the one for you.
She was pregnant and alone…and sick. Seemingly every second of every day.
Yup. She’d gone from single and carefree to chained to a porcelain goddess…and soon she’d be chained to a baby—to nap schedules and car seats, to saggy boobs and blowouts, to—
Nothing that resembled her life before she’d peed on a stick and it had flashed with a plus sign.
Which was fine. Her life before that stick-peeing hadn’t been all that exciting and great. Aside from her friends, she’d been more than a little lonely, wondering what the hell she should be doing with her life.
Then…preggers.
Then…Carter.
Carter Jackson was gorgeous, funny, and good. Carter Jackson was the type of guy she once would have dreamed of riding in on his stallion and saving her. Carter Jackson was a man who’d apparently decided that she was someone that needed rescuing.
The problem? She didn’t need rescuing. Not anymore. She would be standing on her own feet from here on out, thank her very much.
The other problem? Carter was determined to rescue her anyway.

My review:
Fubar is the
fifth book in the Life Sucks series but was no trouble reading it as a standalone. The books I have read from the series have
all been cute and a lot of fun so this one fit right in there. The characters were genuine, likable, and
easy to connect with.
Constantly sick,
Maggie was facing motherhood as a single mom after the father of the child gave
up his rights. She was attracted to Carter
but felt like her life was too big of a mess for a relationship. Carter had fallen for Maggie when he met her,
but he was only prepared to hold off on making a move for so long. He was ready to become part of her life.
Carter was
such a sweet guy and once Maggie let him in, he wasn’t going anywhere. His love for her showed in the sweet way he
took care of her. Maggie couldn’t
believe Carter would be interested in her since she carried another man’s child,
but she finally accepted he was sticking with her. This was a cute and fast book to read. I loved how the town supported Maggie and
helped when she needed it. I can’t wait
for the next book in this cute series.

Title: Tough Justice
Author: Tee O'Fallon
Genre: Romantic Suspense
About Tough Justice:
It should have been a routine investigation. Instead, DEA K-9 agent Adam "Deck" Decker watches in horror as one Denver hospital seems to be Ground Zero for overdoses of a new drug. Now Deck can only hope a certain icy, green-eyed ER doctor will help him and his canine partner track down the deadly source.Dr. Tori Sampson has her reasons for not trusting federal agents, especially ones working for the DEA. But the rash of overdoses—including a heartbreaking case involving a teen—is alarmingly high. And the new opioid is not only extremely dangerous, it defies all the usual medical treatments. So Tori has a choice: work with the big, brawny, and annoyingly hot DEA agent...or watch more innocent people die. Tori's the only person who can help Deck break the case, and they'll need to trust each other, no matter how high the tension and attraction sizzling between them runs. But with every question answered, they realize there's something more behind these typical teen overdoses. There's a pattern here, and a pattern can only suggest one thing. There's a killer on the loose.
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
My review:
DEA K-9 agent Adam “Deck” Decker has personal reasons for
working so hard fighting to eliminate drugs on the street. The outbreak and deaths due to overdoses in
the city have reached an alarming number from a new and deadly opioid that is
on the street. In order to discover who
is making the drug, he must put aside all his dislike of doctors and work with
the ER doctor who has been seeing the cases come through the hospital.
ER Dr. Tori Sampson has personal reasons to be wary around
DEA agents. After losing a young
teenager to the devastating effects of the new drug and she wants to help
before more innocent people die.
Unfortunately, that means working with Deck to solve the case. Can they overcome their personal feelings about
each other’s jobs and work together?
This was the first book in the K-9 Special Ops and it was a
phenomenal start for the series. I have
come to love this author and her books of intrigue, twists, and adorable
dogs. This book was a perfect example of
why I enjoy her books. The characters
and their issues were genuine and have many layers to them. The chemistry between Tori and Deck was
intense from the beginning but watching them overcome their judgment of each
other’s careers was tremendous. I loved
watching their friendship, trust, and respect for each other grow as they
worked to solve the case. I highly
recommend this book and cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Her eyes softened, turning pensive. “If there’s something I can do proactively to stop the rising body count, I want to do it.” Absently, she stroked Thor’s ears, allowing him to lean his head against her thigh. Deck suspected the change of heart had something to do with the dead teenager. “But let’s be clear on something.” Her pretty eyes glittered like shards of green ice. “You have your rules, and I have mine.” He and Thor led the way to the elevator. He glanced over his shoulder to make sure she was behind him. “Meaning?” Two seconds into their alliance, and he was already on the verge of regretting it. “Meaning”—she stared up at him frostily—“you will not skulk around the ER, waiting or searching for overdose victims. You’ll wait until I notify you that a patient is willing to speak with you.” “Skulk?” Deck held back a snort. Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. “DEA agents don’t skulk.” She pursed her lips. “I beg to differ. History has shown otherwise.” He leaned his shoulder against the wall by the elevator bank, tensing. “What history?” He had no idea what she was talking about. Whatever it was, they really needed to clear the air fast or this partnership would sink faster than the Titanic. “Never mind.” She shook her head and looked away, as if she’d said something unintentional. “There is one other thing, however.” “What other thing?” Yeah, two minutes into it, and this arrangement was already fixing to be a cluster. “If a patient changes their mind in the middle of your interrogation and no longer wishes to talk, you’ll leave, no more questions asked.” “Fine.” Between them, Thor swung his head back and forth, as if watching a tennis match. “And for the record, it’s not an interrogation. It’s an interview. Anything else?” “Yes. You have to promise never to use a patient’s name in any report.” Deck pushed from the wall, towering over her, but she stood her ground, craning her neck to look up at him. The elevator door opened, but he ignored it. “No dice, Doc. That’s how I get my PC—probable cause. If an OD victim has information about the source of the opioids and can direct us to the location where they purchased it, I may need to put their name in an affidavit for search and arrest warrants.” She crossed her arms and jutted her chin up at him. “Then that part of the deal is off.” What had he gotten himself into? They’d made a deal over the phone, and she was already changing the rules. He should’ve known he couldn’t trust her. Maybe he should find someone else. But they were here, and he didn’t want to waste more time finding another doctor. “Let’s compromise. I’ll do everything in my power to leave names out, but you have to understand that sometimes that’s what it takes to get a dealer off the street. If a judge allows me to refer to victims as ‘confidential sources’ instead of using their real names, then I’ll do it. Deal?” Before meeting his gaze, her lips compressed into a tight line, and he expected her to tell him to pound sand. “Deal.”“Good, and I have a condition of my own. Everything we do together, everything we discuss, is confidential. You need to be discrete about DEA operations.” “Understood,” she said curtly. “And for the record, that seems obvious.” The door began to close, and he reached out his arm, stopping it. “Is there anything else I should know?” Her lips twitched. “If there is, I’ll tell you.” “I’ll bet you will.” This woman was hardcore. Delicate and pretty on the outside. Inside, she was a drill sergeant, barking out orders like a seasoned federal agent. Like him. He’d bet she could hold her ground against some of the best defense attorneys he’d ever run into.

My review:
Dangerous Games is the third book in the Takeback series by Riley Edwards. This was a new-to-me author, and I was excited to read it after reading the book overview. It was so much better than I thought it would be! I loved the characters (especially Mrs. S), the intrigue, the humor, the twists, and all those yummy alpha males. There was so much chemistry between Reese and Sadie, and it was intense! Sadie was snarky while Reese was protective, but they were both so sweet. They both had been hurt by past relationships so there was plenty of doubts and history for them to overcome. I loved the book and have added the first books to my TBR because they sound just as great as this one.

Let's see...where to begin... I'm inching up on the BIG 4-0. The gray hairs are doubling what seems like daily, and the wrinkles and laugh lines are more pronounced than ever. I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.) We have two boys we're doing our best to raise as respectful gentleman. I have a master's degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full-time in June of 2019. So that means there's usually always some criminal/law element to my novels. If I'm not writing; I'm reading. My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I'm reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it's gotten me exactly where I need to be!) I love coffee. I miss carbs. Music is LIFE. I try not to be too serious.

One-Timer is the third book in the Carolina Comets series by Teagan Hunter. Each book in the series can be read as standalones but they are so much better when read in order. I have loved meeting all the players, watching as each one finds love, and building a family together. This is Lowell and Hollis’s story and I have looked forward to it.
Hollis had discovered her husband had been cheating on her since before they were married and had recently signed her divorce papers. She was happy her sister was getting married but watching the love between Harper and Collin (from Puck Shy) was hard after being so disappointed in her own wedding. Emotionally drained after the wedding she made a one-time bad decision and slept with Lowell.
“I love you, Hollis. I’m in love with you. Like really in love with you. In fact, I think I might love you more than I love hockey.”
Lowell had been soured by relationships years ago when his ex-girlfriend claimed to be pregnant with his child. He had proposed to her but had found out she had lied about the child and just wanted his money. Now he put hockey first no matter what and stayed away from relationships. Discovering Hollis was pregnant from their one night together felt like history was repeating itself but this time he was doing things differently. He was going to keep things in the friend zone with Hollis but somehow lines got crossed and things got confusing.
This was one of those books I could not put down and once I finished it, I wanted more. It was emotional and heartbreaking but oh so good! I cannot wait for the next book in the series. The tension between Smith and Emilia was so high that it will be an amazing story!

Excerpt
Nadia and I walk silently down the hallway toward the elevator. Coffee with my parents turned out to be nice. Once they both settled down a bit and everyone had their extremely involved cups of coffee in hand, the conversation flowed easily. The dog curled up on my mother’s lap and was snoring happily in no time. And I didn’t even stumble over my words, which was a nice change. I expected taking Nadia to my parents’ place would give her some perspective. What I didn’t expect was for her to fit in so seamlessly. I didn’t expect it to feel like something else entirely, like she’s the missing piece of the puzzle. My dad invited her golfing with him for crying out loud. My mom is sending her links for where to purchase a special kettle so she can start making pour-over coffee too. She wasn’t supposed to be funny and charming and make my parents welcome her into the fold of our family unit like she’s some long-standing friend. But Nadia is funny and charming. Her energy is infectious. It’s like she makes everyone around her happier. Even the dog is enamored. Everyone except me is now officially calling him Tripod. And I’m pretty sure my parents are in love with Nadia and think grandbabies are on the way, no matter how many times I assured them we’re just friends. I tossed the word friend in everywhere I could, as well as emphasizing our age difference a few times. It didn’t stop my dad from whispering in my ear when he gave me a parting hug. “Methinks the lady doth protest too much.” So, I poked him in the stomach. “Getting soft, old man.” Then my mom went from whispering something in Nadia’s ear to piping up and saying, “Hardly.” Gag. That was my cue to leave. I latched Tripod to his leash with one hand and grabbed Nadia’s bicep with the other and dragged us all out of there, tossing a promise to visit again soon over my shoulder. I always look forward to visiting with my parents, but I have never brought any woman home with me, and I severely underestimated their ability to play it cool. We stand silently at the bank of elevators, and I watch the floor numbers light up as it speeds toward us. Nadia slants her head toward me, eyeing the place where I’m still holding her bicep. Truth is, I don’t want to let her go. I’m comforted by how well she rolled with the punches in there. My parents were acting totally insane, and she seemed like she was enjoying the hell out of it. “That’s a firm grip you’ve got there.” Her eyes flick up to my profile because I’m still trying not to look at her. “Am I in trouble, Mr. Sinclaire?” “Nadia.” My tone is full of warning. It makes me sound old and creepy when she calls me Mr. Sinclaire. “What?” She stares openly now and when those elevator doors slide open, I pull her into the blissfully empty elevator with me, eager to put as much space as possible between my parents and what I’m about to do. She hums in amusement as the doors slide shut, clearly enjoying agitating me. The minute the doors close, my hand with the leash darts out and slams into the red emergency stop button. And then I turn, drop the leash, and press Nadia up against the mirrored wall of the elevator, one hand still on her upper arm while the other slides across the taper of her waist. Her eyes widen, but she doesn’t cower. In fact, she looks downright pleased. “What, Griffin?” she taunts as my jaw pops under the pressure of my teeth grinding. This woman tests every piece of patience I possess. I should step away from her, take my hands off her. I should keep this side of myself under wraps from her. She’s been roughed up enough in her life. The last thing she needs is me man-handling her. And I would manhandle the hell out of her. She’d love it. There’s no doubt about that. I’ve had no complaints in that department. Quite the opposite, in fact. But gentle I am not. Making love I don’t do. “Say it.” Her free hand lands on the waistband of my jeans, and my body goes tense. She slides her dainty fingers beneath the front of my shirt, trailing a nail over the ridge of my hip bone, forcing a low ache to take hold at the base of my spine. If I don’t get control of this and stop it now, I’ll be taking her against the wall of this elevator. Which is not what she needs. I shoot back like I just touched a hot stove, pressing myself against the opposite wall, trying to put as much space between us as I can while being locked in this box of temptation. My breathing comes in quick frustrated pants. “Call my dad and me Mr. Sinclaire within a few minutes of each other again and—” “And what, Griffin? You gonna spank me for that, too?” Her top teeth press down into her pillowy bottom lip. “Or are you going to kiss me again and then tell me I’m a mistake?” A low rumble takes root in my chest. My entire body is rigid, my will to stay away from her melting with every second I spend staring at her. The imprint of her fingers still burns on my abs. I need to get the hell away from her. The last thing I need to do is torpedo what little semblance of happiness I’ve created in my life by not being able to keep it in my pants around Nadia Dalca. My hand slams into the red button, and we lurch back into motion.

My review:
“When a wild one settles down, you know they’re all in, heart and soul, because they found their special person more excitin’, more groundin’, and more everything than anyone else who has crossed their path. They’ve found their ride or die”
Crazy, Wicked Love is part of the Love in Bloom season and was another fantastic addition to Wicked books. You cannot help but fall in love with the Wicked family and friends. The Wicked men are swoon-worthy, alpha men who are not looking for love but once they find it and their person, they are all in. This was a friend to lovers’ story for Dwayne “Gunner” Wicked and Sidney “Sid” Carver. It was entertaining from the beginning and as always with Ms. Foster’s books, I could not put it down until I finished it.
Sid had fallen in love with Gunner who only saw her as a “cute dude.” Gunner was her boss, roommate, and her best friend since they had served in the Marines together. Weary of hearing his one-night stands leaving their house and his revolving bedroom door attitude, she decided it was time for Operation Get My Guy mission. She would ask Gunner to be her wingman to help her gain the attention of another man.
Gunner had been interested in Sid when they met but he feared losing their friendship, so he had locked those feelings away. When she asks him to be her wingman to catch the attention of his cousin, he didn’t understand why it bothered him so much. Finally, he faces the fact that he has always loved her but is it too late?
I love this series and the Wicked Family and I’m always excited when a new book comes out. This was a perfect book to add to the series. It was a low angst, small-town romance with lots of family fun. I highly recommend this author and any of her series.
