My review:
Falling for Her Convenient Groom is the second book in the Wedding Bells at Lake Como series, but it can be read as a standalone. We were introduced to Carla and Franco in the first book, Bound by a Ring and a Secret, and you could feel the sparks between them from the beginning.
Carla Falco’s father agrees to allow her to run their family business while he recuperates from his second heart attack if she will get married. She needs someone who knows the wedding is strictly temporary and only long enough for her to show her father she can do the job. Franco Marchello has no plans to get married or have children after the example of his parents, but Carla’s suggestion of a temporary marriage will help save Marchello’s family business. Reintroducing the Marchello spices back into the Falco restaurants would be huge. The lines between a real and fake marriage start to overlap as they work together. Can they overcome their fear of relationships to make them real?
This was a charming book and I loved watching Carla and Franco’s relationship grow. They were wonderful for each other and complimented each other perfectly. I loved that Franco supported Carla and her worries about her father’s health even with the feud between the two families was so intense. The feud made things difficult for them, but they were able to put it aside and work together to benefit their companies. I enjoyed reading this book and recommend it.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
