Clumsy DC event planner, Beth Longmere was just trying to take care of her father and make ends meet. She never expected Harrison to offer her a job, but she accepted knowing she could help her community.
For years, billionaire Harrison Rothschield’s goal was to become the Governor of Maryland. His campaign was strong, but he knew it would be stronger with Beth’s help since she knew all the right people in DC, and her charming personality won everyone over.
This was a wonderful read, and I really enjoyed the chemistry between Harrison and Beth. They had a strong connection from the beginning, and I was cheering them on for the entire book. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

My Fight is the third book in the Men of New York series and also the first book I have read by the author.  I was pulled in by the blurb and I am so happy I discovered this author.

ER doctor Cat had recently moved to Philadelphia to escape her ex-boyfriend and her father’s demands.  It was all she could do to keep her and her daughter safe.  She didn’t need any trouble from the mafia.

Mafia member Carter was injured while engaging in an underground fight.  Going to the ER was the last thing he wanted but maybe fate was working because he met Cat there.  He thought Cat was out of his league until his brothers advised him not to let her go.  Can he undo the hurt he caused Cat and keep her safe?

The book was an opposites attract romance with a mafia background.  It was fast-paced and kept my attention from the beginning.  The characters had depth and were very likable.  I enjoyed meeting all the side characters and hope to see them again in a future book.  I recommend the book and cannot wait to go back and read the series from the beginning.
