My review:

A Future to Fight For is the third book in the Bliss, Texas series. The small-town of Bliss and its people are charming and will touch your heart. It was a short book, but the author does a wonderful job of fully developing the plot of enemy to lovers. Paisley and Crockett both prejudged each other and made assumptions that led them to be rivals. As they begin working together, they soon discovered there was more to each other than they thought. This is the story of their hopes, faith, and dreams that led them to happiness.
Paisley Wainwright has been a widow for five years after losing her husband and son in a car accident. She lost the joy of planning people’s happy-ever-after but recently felt the spark again and dreams of turning the abandoned Renwick Castle into an event and wedding venue.
Crockett Devereaux, a single dad of two, remembers Renwick castle from his childhood when he would help his grandfather who was the caretaker of Renwick Castle. He loves history and hopes to turn the castle into a museum that contains all the treasures he and his grandfather have collected over the years.
The owners love both of their ideas and want them to combine their ideas and work together on the project. Can they get past their grudges long enough to get the job done?
This was such an inspiring book. I loved that Paisley still had so much faith even after losing her husband and son. She was such a kind-hearted person and was willing to help anyone. Crockett had issues with trusting women after his wife left him and his children. He judged Paisley by her looks rather than her inner self. He was trying to protect himself from heartbreak again by distancing himself. I was cheering him on through the entire book and hoping he could see the good in Paisley. I highly recommend this book and look forward to future books in the series.

My review:

Finding His Family is part of the Love Inspired series which I have come to really like reading.  This was a heart-warming story of forgiveness, family, faith, and a little matchmaking.  It was well-written, the storyline was developed, and the pacing was perfect.  The characters were charming especially the daughter of the main character, Georgia.  She definitely takes the cake on cuteness! 

Rosemary Williams had married Abe and kept it a secret for over four years.  She was heartbroken when Abe walked out on her and joined the army.  She found herself pregnant and moved away to keep her daughter a secret.  Now her father and mother need her help and she has returned to her childhood home.  She wanted to help Abe make his business successful before she left town again and she knew when they left Georgia would be heartbroken.

Abe Armstrong has returned to his Mississippi hometown after serving four years in the army.  He is trying to rebuild his life and has opened Armstrong Gym to help the community.  He has dedicated his time to starting the Rock Steady Boxing class, a new class to help patients with Parkinson's disease.  The gym has had a rocky start and Abe was trying to keep the business from closing.  Seeing Rosemary, his wife, again and learning he had a daughter encouraged him and made him hope for a second chance. 

This was a wonderful story about two people having a second chance at having a successful marriage.  They were very young when they were married, and their lack of communication hurt their relationship the most.  I loved how the author used the story of Lazarus’s resurrection to give Rosemary inspiration for her dead marriage resurrecting.

He was a moody man, and she didn’t have time for that even if he sent her libido into orbit. It had only started as an offer for a temp job, but once Ben discovered where she was going to work, he had demanded she add the family agenda. She was only out for a connection between him and the farm and then something that would break that link. Once that was found, she would likely need to slip away quickly and quietly. And that just sucked.

She waited to see if there would be any movement from Renee’s office, but when all was quiet for a few moments, she walked closer. Good, maybe she could sneak into Stryker’s office and look through some of his papers while they were otherwise occupied.

Avery locked the front door. Her heart pounded, and her blood rushed as she worked on scanning through all the paperwork in the inbox and then in the outbox on Stryker’s desk. Automatically picking up a dirty coffee cup from Stryker’s desk, she tried to open a file cabinet but found it was locked. There was a noise in the office next door, and then the front door opened. Caught with nowhere to go, she carried his cup out of the office.

Declan walked in the door and pocketed his keys. “Who locked the door?”

“The last one to go in or out of that door was Stryker.” Not a lie but not an answer to the question asked.

Declan paused. “Is Stryker in there?” He nodded in the direction of the room she was exiting.

“No, I was dropping off something and grabbing his coffee cup to clean.”

“He’s washing his cup now?”

Avery frowned and looked inside the cup. “Well, I am. This is disgusting.”

Declan laughed. “I could get used to you. But a word to the wise. I’d have it washed and then refilled with coffee as soon as he walks in the door, so he doesn’t notice right away that you’ve washed it.”

“Why? Doesn’t he like it cleaned?”

“Nope. Says it adds character and flavor to his next cup.”

Avery rolled her eyes. “Right.”

“Hey, I’m Declan, but I don’t have time to chat. I’ll see you at dinner or lunch soon. Yeah?”

“Oh, um, yes.”

“Good.”

That was too close for comfort. Avery wasn’t up to this spy business. Going behind people’s back kept her stomach in an uproar. The honesty in her bones was rioting, and it was more than a little uncomfortable. Something told her if Stryker ever found out, she would be one sorry woman.
