But then certain parts of me start to crave certain parts of her and things become even more complicated because we both have our own reasons for wanting what we have to remain make-believe only.

My review:

This was a new to me author and the blurb made it sound interesting, and I was so excited to read it.  It was just like it sounded and I was not disappointed at all.  The book was simple, funny, and lots of relationship pretending.  

Lucas Abbott and his brothers owned the Rent-A-Husband, a repair service.  He has had a few incidents where their name has landed him into some sticky situations.  So, when he ends up being the one to respond to a repair on a Friday night and is met by a beautiful woman in a wet t-shirt, he thinks it is another one of those situations.  Camila Wright is still getting over her last relationship, but all her friends are getting engaged.  She needs to make an appearance at their weddings, or they will think she is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend.  The plan was for Lucas to pretend to be her new boyfriend, but she panics and things get complicated real fast.

The chemistry between Lucas and Camila was steamy from the beginning.  Lucas tried to keep things professional, but the line gets crossed when they pretend to be a couple.  Their lives become entangled, and it starts to feel real.  I loved getting to meet the Abbott brothers look forward to their stories.

My review and rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a new-to-me author and I was pleasantly surprised while reading it.  It was a combination of best friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, and second chance romance.  It was fast-paced and well written.  The characters were genuine and so easy to connect with.  They might have grown up with wealthy families, but they were down to earth and willing to help others.  Although I think Nick was selfish for starting a relationship with Mazzy when they were younger and then dumping her so he could focus on school.  Maybe he feared the emotions he had for Mazzy and not mature enough to handle them.  Overall, this was a good book with entertaining relationship shifts.
