A search for three abducted teens—
and a K-9 on the case.
After surviving a vicious attack in the woods, Tori Campbell awakes to her worst nightmare—her son and his two friends are missing. She calls the one person she knows she can trust, her late husband’s best friend, former DEA agent Michael Lane. Together with his search-and-rescue K-9, they must track the boys and figure out who took them—and why. Only, the Indiana wilderness is full of dangers beyond their abductor. Can Michael and Tori find the teens…even if it means falling into a sinister trap?
From Love Inspired Courage. Danger. Faith.
My review:
Tracking the Missing is part of the K-9 Search and Rescue author collaboration series. Although this series and author were new to me, I had no trouble reading it as standalones.
Widowed Tori Campbell takes her son and friends camping only to wake up to a nightmare. Barely lucid, she remembers her husband telling her to call his best friend, DEA Agent Michael Lane, if she needs help. Michael and his dog, Ducky, join Tori in searching for teens. Their adrenaline-charged search has many twists and turns. Along the way, Toni’s faith is restored and they have the opportunity for a second chance romance.
The book was plot-driven, but the author did a great job balancing the story while giving the characters depth. The pacing was perfect and the twist and turns kept my attention the entire book. I am so glad I got the opportunity to discover this author. I enjoyed the book and look forward to future books by the author.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
