A little white lie never hurt anyone . . . or so I thought. 

One fake date and we’d go our separate ways, at least that’s how hockey’s hottest golden boy—Nixon Sinclair—convinced me this would work. But it turns out, Nix had other plans.

Tempting is the first book in the new series, Red Lips and White Lies.  The characters are the second generation of the Kingston and Sinclair family and friends.  Kenzie Hayes is the niece of Beckett and Juliette Kingston (Overruled). Nixon Sinclair is the son of Declan and Annabelle Sinclair (Always Earned Never Given).  Although the characters are all connected, each book can be read as a standalone. 

“I’ll wait forever for you.  But it’s you and me, Mac, and I need you to know that.  I don’t care if you marry me today, tomorrow, or next year.  But you’re going to marry me because you’re mine and I’m yours.  I will never be anything but yours.”

Kenzie “Mac” lost her parents at a young age and is afraid of losing someone she loves again.  Now she is back in town after med school and finds herself “dating” her childhood friend, Nixon.  Nixon has had a crush on Mac since they were teenagers, so he was up to playing the fake boyfriend.  I loved how perfect Mac and Nixon were for each other.  Nixon was so sincere and concerned for Mac. 

 This was an amazing book, and I loved every minute of it!! This was so good that I had to finish it in one setting, there was no putting the book down! Everything I expected in one of Bella Matthews’ books was there: all the witty banter, hilarious text chains, and large family drama. Her characters are always loveable and easy to connect with. I can never choose a favorite because they are all so awesome!  I hope to see future books with some new characters.  The family tree is getting confusing with all the interconnections. I hated to see the end of the book because now I must wait for the next book in the series!
