My review:

Wow! The suspense had me hooked from the beginning. This is the fourth book in the clean romance series Guardians Unleased.  I have really enjoyed every book of the Phoenix K-9 Security and Detection (PK-9) team series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone, but I think reading them in order gives you a better understanding of the women’s strong bond with each other and their dogs. This was Jazz Lamont and Hawthorne Emerson’s story, and it was fast-paced, intense, and full of suspense and twists.

 Jazz grew up attending the Tri-City Fair so when accidents start happening that could close it down, she is set on keeping it safe.  It is the only place she has ever felt like she belongs.  Hawthorne signed up to work at the fair to find out the truth about his sister’s boyfriend’s death.  Meeting Jazz has given him the inspiration he needs for his next book but helping her keep the fair safe has led him back to his past. 

 This was truly a journey of faith, suspense, and romance. Jazz and Hawthorne were wonderful characters with many layers.  I loved the book and could not put it down once I started it. Be prepared to sit down and spend the day reading because it is that good! I cannot wait for the next book which looks like it might be Phoenix’s.
