Ryder
Two years of silence and no goodbye—she slipped away and through my fingers, leaving me with nothing but questions... and a heavy heart from missing her.
I know what we had was real, that our love was once in a lifetime.
Now she's back from her Parisian fashion internship, and I'm ready for answers, desperate to understand why she couldn't just stay.
Jordyn
When I walked away, it was to protect him. Yet, all he knows, all he cares about, is that I left. Coming home is a bittersweet journey, each step heavier than the last.
While I'm no longer half a world away, the obstacles in front of us make it feel like we've never been farther apart.
I want to give him the answers he so desperately craves, and this time, I'll get to say goodbye. However, what I didn't plan on was Ryder's fight. He's not going to let me go so easily this time.
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
My review:
Working hard and loving harder. I always thought I knew what my dad
meant by that, but it wasn’t until Jordyn that I truly understood.
Stay Present is the sixth book in the Kincaid Brothers
series. Each book can be read as a
stand-alone but to get a better understanding of the characters and their
connections it is best to read them all.
I love the dynamics of the Kincaid family and I have been hooked on the
series from the beginning. They are
small-town romances filled with spice and lots of fun. This was Ryder and Jordyn’s story, and I was
not expecting the plot twist.
Ryder was heartbroken when Jordyn left town without saying
goodbye or why she was leaving. After
two years she has returned home, and he is determined to get answers. He is not going to let her go this time
around.
“Saying I love you doesn’t seem like enough, but I don’t
have the words to explain it any other way.”
Given no choice, Jordyn left town and went to Paris for a
fashion internship. She was determined
to give Ryder answers and find a way for them to have a future together.
This was a terrific book and one of my favorites in the
series. I couldn't wait to start it
after getting small tidbits of their relationship in previous books. Once I started reading, I couldn’t put it
down until I finished it. The characters
are genuine, easy to connect with, and lifelike. I loved revisiting the Kincaid family and
cannot wait for the twin’s books. With their mischievous hijinks, it will have
to be full of humor. I highly recommend
the series.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All
thoughts and opinions are my own.
