My review:

The Keeper is the first book in the Playing to Win series and the first of the second generation of Kroyden Hills.  I loved the first-generation Kroyden Hills world and worried about the second generation even coming close.  Sometimes I find the second-generation series doesn’t measure up, but I was worried for nothing because this first book was outstanding, and I loved every minute of it.  The witty banter and large family drama were everything I expected from a Bella Matthews book. 

I had hoped to see Madeline’s story but was disappointed when the Kroyden Hills series ended without her story, so it was great that she started this series.  Although it isn’t necessary to read The Defiant Kings series, Madeline and Easton’s story starts toward Haven's end.  I loved seeing her and Easton finally find their way together. 

This was another terrific book from Ms. Matthews, and I cannot wait for Everly’s book to come out.
