My review:

Deception is the second book in the Locked Security series. It’s not necessary to read the first book, Stealth, but it does help give a better background to the team.  Regretfully Lucius Costa felt like he had no option but to betray the team when his daughter was kidnapped. Now with no team at his back, he is desperate to uncover the death of their previous team member.  For answers, he must return to his past, which he had barely escaped from the first time.

Everleigh Bennet is determined to find her brother who suddenly disappeared while in Guyana.  Unfortunately, she cannot find any trace of her brother but her digging lands her into the path of the local cartel.  With her life in danger, she finds help from the most unlikely person there.  But can Lucius save them both?

This was a really enjoyable book, and I couldn’t wait to read it after the first book.  I hated that Lucius thought his only option was to betray his team, but I love how they still showed up when he needed them.  I cannot wait for the next book, Charge, which we get led into from Deception.
