Single mom Jade MacKenzie faced many challenges opening up Books & Beans, her bookstore and coffee shop, in the small town of Sweetbriar Ridge. Her town nemesis wanted her to fail and did all she could to hurt Jade’s business. She needed more ways to promote her business and Levi is just the person she needs. Levi Donovan lost his job at the prestigious ad agency he worked at. He had left Sweetbriar Ridge at the first opportunity and hadn’t returned. Now he has no potential job offers and has no choice but to return to his small hometown. Accepting help from his family is the last thing he wants but it was his best option. Can falling in love with Jade help change his perspective of small towns? Returning home might not have been what Levi wanted but it provided him with the chance to reunite with his siblings and family. He finally realizes how important family is and that leaning on them for help is sometimes necessary. His scandal might have diminished his potential job opportunities in the city but with a little help, he finds his way. Loving You is the first book in The Donovans: Sweetbriar Ridge series. I loved The Donovans: Laurel Bay series so I could not wait for this branch of the Donovans to get their story. This was the perfect book to start the series off with. The characters had depth and were charming. The transition between scenes was smooth and the book was easy to read. I love small-town romances and this book hit the mark. It had all the small-town drama and warmth of large families. I loved this book, and I cannot wait for the next book in the series. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
