Full Battle Rattle by Giulia Lagomarsino

Title: Full Battle Rattle
Series: an OPS Protector Romance Book 7
Author: Giulia Lagomarsino
Genre: Romantic Suspense/Protector Romance

My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
My review:

Full Battle Rattle is the seventh book in the Owens Protective Services series. I absolutely love this series! I love how the author inserts humor right in the middle of an intense action scene. One minute I am sitting on the edge of my chair then the next I am laughing. The characters are hilarious, and their banter is full of wit.
Each book in the series picks up where the previous book leaves off, so they are best if read in order. After starting the first book, I spent my entire weekend binge-reading the whole series.  Sadly now, I must wait until the next one comes out.

This was one of my favorite books in the series.  I really liked Jane and Iris.  They both had their own eccentric characteristics but were made the perfect couple.  I laughed the entire book.  I loved seeing all the previous characters and I especially enjoyed seeing the wives and girlfriends joining in the fun.  I highly recommend this series if you like intense action scenes, humor, romance, and off-the-wall characters.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

★★★★★ Goodreads Review - “This book kept me turning pages because once I thought I figured it out it would take a turn and make me think it was someone else.”

★★★★★ Goodreads Review - “This book has an edge of your seat suspense, action, drama and lots of humor.”

★★★★★ Goodreads Review - “Ms. Lagomarsino has a way of drawing this reader in and keeping her captive with her words, her characters, her world(s)! I don't care if I ever leave!”

I REQUIRE INTENSE SUPERVISION.

That’s what they say about me. In fact, it became my nickname—IRIS.
Yes, I like to blow stuff up.
Yes, it’s more exciting than dismantling a bomb.
Is it my fault I have a thirst for exhilarating work?

So, I went on this job that was less than thrilling.
My team was supposed to solve a series of murders, but that’s not really my thing.
And the worst part was keeping an eye on this woman.

Jane Layne. Shayla Jacque. Detective Jane Blackthorne… Blackwood?

Who has that many names?
As a mystery writer with a flare for the dramatic, she’s determined to solve the murder cases based on her very own books.
She’s smart as a whip and entertaining to be around. But there’s one thing I can’t stand.
Her fascination with her neighbor.

Alexander Pierce.

He’s a smarmy lawyer who has her wrapped around his little finger.
And I bet that’s larger than what he boasts down below.
Between the backhanded compliments and those pretentious suits, I’m not sure what she sees in him.
And don’t get me started on her informant. Tall, suave…a version of me, if I’m being honest.
All these men falling at her feet, and where do I fit into the equation?
Why am I not in her books? Granted, she just met me, but that’s beside the point.
If I want to be the main character in her life, I have to stop playing the supporting friend.

I just hope she doesn’t blow us up first.

I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." I didn't think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn't already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.
