Release Date: September 29
I’ve lied to myself for years about being in love with my best friend.
Everly Bowman and I don’t make sense. She’s sunshine personified and I hate everyone. Well, everyone but her. It’s been easy to keep up the farce and pretend like she isn’t my whole world. Or it was until she needs a place to stay, and my apartment is her only option.
Suddenly, she's everywhere I turn. Even her scent is branded into my sheets. And thanks to our unofficial romance book club, I’ve also amassed an encyclopedia titled Everly’s Pleasure Buttons. Each week, it gets harder to ignore how much I want to make her fantasies come true. Especially when we crawl into my bed every night.
But I won’t jeopardize what we have for anything, so I’m fine with lying to myself and pretending like I don’t dream of calling her mine.
At least, I was until I see her with him.
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
My review:
WOW! Grumpy vs. Sunny. Check. Small-town romance. Check
This is a must-read friend-to-lovers book. I read the first book and thought it was great, but this book is so much better. Everly had moved to Starlight Cove when her aunt had died leaving her a house and a veterinarian clinic. Beck was a grump to everyone, but Everly slowly won him over after showing up at his business every morning with her cheerful and sunny attitude. Beck had fallen for her from the beginning but was scared to act on it and lose her friendship. When she must stay with him after her house burns, things changed.
This was a great small-town romance. All the family drama, witty banter, and charming characters made it entertaining. I loved seeing Beck and Everly’s friendship grow into love. This book was fun and had me smiling all the way until the end. I recommend it.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Meet Brighton Walsh
USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Brighton Walsh spent a decade as a professional photographer before taking her storytelling in a different direction and reconnecting with her first love—writing.
She likes her books how she likes her tea—steamy and satisfying—and adores strong-willed heroines and the protective heroes who fall head over heels for them.
Brighton lives in the Midwest with her real life hero of a husband, her two kids—one who’s already taller than her and one who’s catching up too fast—and her dog who thinks she’s a queen. Her boy-filled house is the setting for dirty socks galore, frequent dance parties (okay, so it’s mostly her, by herself, while her children look on in horror), and more laughter than she thought possible.
