Never Look Back
An Enemies-to-Lovers, Close-Proximity, Second-Chance Romance from A.L. Jackson
The second I saw him sitting at the illegal card table, I knew I was in trouble.
Years ago, he sealed my fate and condemned me to a life I didn’t want to lead.
Yet he’s filled with untamed fury and thirsting for vengeance.
Aster Costa is everything I never should have wanted.
The second she showed, I should have gotten up and walked.
But there’s no looking away from the woman who wrecked me.
Worse, I can’t stop myself from plotting to get her back.
I want nothing more than to be free of my chains.
I’m afraid Logan Lawson is the only one who can make that happen.
He might hate me for our past, but now it’s me on my knees begging for help.
Finding each other in the middle of it wasn’t supposed to be part of the bargain.
But once Logan touches me, I’m gone.
A torch is rekindled. A fire is lit.
Aster Costa has always been mine.
And this time, no matter the cost, I won’t give her back…
Never Look
Back is the third book in the Redemption Hill series. I read it as a standalone and did not have
any trouble following along. It was well
written, the characters had many layers, and the plot was developed. It's a second-chance romance for enemies to
lovers that was full of twists.
Behind her
mask, Aster is miserable. She sacrificed
her chance at happiness when she let Logan go so, he would live. Years later they cross paths at a high stack
card table. Logan is full of vengeance
and anger but couldn’t stop wanting her.
Can they unravel their past and fight for their future?
This was a
book that took your emotions on a rollercoaster ride. It was full of angst, vengeance,
misunderstandings, second chances, and love.
It was very unpredictable with all the twists and turns. The connection between Logan and Astor was
strong and their chemistry was scorching.
I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
I received
an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my
own.
