The Enforcer by Avery Keelan

The Enforcer by Avery Keelan is now live!

Violet
Everyone on campus knows how hulking hockey enforcer Nash Richards demolishes his opponents on the ice, but he demolished my heart freshman year.
Now, he's my brand-new athletic training client—and he wants me back.
I can't afford to lose focus during my senior year, but one moment of weakness has me falling for Nash all over again. Unfortunately, he has secrets, and now they're my secrets, too. Ones that could cost us both everything.
Fraternizing between the trainers and athletes is strictly forbidden, but my heart doesn't care about the rules.

Nash
Violet Walsh is the one that got away... and I'm the one who pushed her to leave.
It was the biggest mistake of my life, and I've regretted it ever since.
Working together is the second chance I never thought I'd get. The magnetism between us is impossible to deny—and one kiss is all it takes to get Violet to admit it too.
She says getting involved now could cost us both our careers, but it's a risk I'm willing to take.
Two years ago, I lost the best thing that ever happened to me. And I'm not going to let it happen twice.

Author's note: The Enforcer is a steamy second chance college sports romance with a HEA and no cliffhanger.

My rating: 4 out of 5 stars
My review:

The Enforcer is the first book in the Lakeside University Hockey series.  This was a new-to-me author and the book had younger main characters than what I usually read but the overview of the book sounded great.  I’m glad I was able to read the book and I was surprised by how enjoyable it was.  It was well written, had depth, and had lovable characters.
Nash and Violet had dated their freshman year but the closer they got the more withdrawn Nash became until he put an end to their relationship.  Now they are close to graduating and Violet is interning with Nash’s hockey team.  They were both bitter about their past but had to put that aside and work together.  Their attraction and feelings are still there but can they overcome their past and have a future together?
I loved watching Nash and Violet have a second chance at happiness.  They truly were perfect for each other, and I was cheering for them the entire way.  This was a wonderful second-chance hockey romance that will truly touch your heart. Even though it is not a book I would normally read, I really enjoyed it.  I look forward to the next book in the series which looks just as good as this one did.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
