My review:

After seeing her mother lose everything after her parent’s bitter divorce, Gemma became a successful lawyer to prevent the same fate for other women.  She sees the discrimination against female lawyers and has worked hard to become the first female partner in the firm. Collaborating with her nemesis Ben on a big case is the last thing she wants to do but hopefully, her hard work will finally pay off and she will make partner.

Ben Tate was intrigued with Gemma when he met her but after he joins the firm and ends up with one of her clients, she hates him.  As they work together on the case, they begin to understand and truly see each other.  But Ben has secrets and Gemma has been hurt in the past with a work relationship.  When it all comes out can they overcome everything for a future together?

This is the third book in the Devil series and the first book I have read by this author.  The blurb sounded interesting and I’m so glad I had to chance to read the book.  I recommend this book and look forward to future books by the author.

Meet Elizabeth

Elizabeth O'Roark spent many years as a medical writer before publishing her first novel in 2013. She holds bachelor's degrees in journalism and arts from the University of Texas, and a master's degree in counseling psychology from the University of Notre Dame. She is the author of eight novels and recipient of the 2017 IBPA gold medal for romance. She lives in Washington DC with her three children.
