Xavier Parker gets what he wants.
Richer than God. Hotter than fire. Colder than ice.
Father of my child.
And he has no idea.
As London’s top restauranteur, he has the golden touch, but he rules his world with an iron fist.
Now he’s back in New York with two objectives:
Open the newest hotspot in the city.
And win back my heart, five years after he broke it.
I’d run in the opposite direction, but it’s been so long...
And Xavier knows my recipe.
Passion. Pleasure. Just the right kind of pain.
Imagine his surprise when a little girl opens my door instead of me.
A stubborn, button-nosed four-year-old whose shiny black hair and bright blue eyes look just like his.
There’s a secret in this house, and he won’t stop until he figures it out.
Because Xavier Parker gets what he wants.
And now that includes his daughter.

My review:
First Comes Love is the first book in the Silver Spoon series. This was a new-to-me author and I am so glad I discovered her work. The book was well written, the pacing was perfect, the characters were likable, and I loved meeting Frankie’s big family.
Frankie had fallen for Xavier when he came to New York looking for expanding his company. After weeks of them being together, Xavier sends Frankie a breakup email because his fiancée had cancer and he had to return to England. When Frankie discovered she was pregnant, she had to give up her life goals and found a job teaching. Five years later Xavier returns to New York and by chance, they ran into each other. Once he discovered they had a daughter together, he was determined to win Frankie over.
Frankie was brave, strong, and a wonderful mother. She loved her daughter and sacrificed a lot as a single mother. She was hesitant and scared of Xavier becoming part of their life and then disappearing again as he did before. At first, I didn’t care for Xavier because of the way he left Frankie, but he did redeem himself in the end. He proved he was reliable and a great father so I’m glad Frankie finally overcome her fear.
This was a wonderful romance of heartbreak, family, second chances, and love. I really enjoyed reading it and I look forward to the next book in the series.
