My review:

The Boss is the first book in the new Men of Hidden Justice series by Melanie Moreland. I have just recently discovered this author and each book I read is better and better. I love how easy her books are to read and the many layers her characters have. It was fast-paced, and I was so captivated by it I finished it in one day.
Evie escaped an abusive boyfriend but landed in another dangerous situation. She thought she would surely be killed after she was a witness to a crime. She was not sure if marrying Matteo was a great idea, but her options were limited if she wanted to live.
Matteo (The Boss) led a group of deadly men who dealt out justice to the people who take advantage of others. He was committed to the cause which had hardened him over time. He was intrigued by Evie and his unexpected protectiveness of her. He could have sent her to a safe place, but his intuition was to marry her and keep her safe.
This was an amazing book and I loved it! I loved seeing Matteo’s soft side come out with Evie. Evie was so strong and brave to completely start her new life in an unknown marriage. I loved seeing the way she changed Matteo and helped him find peace and a new future. I cannot wait to read the future books in the series. I can tell this is going to become one of those series I will reread a few times.
