My review:

Running on Diesel is the eighth book in The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor series.  I’ve not read every book in the series, but I have never had any problems jumping into a series written by Ms. Foster.  I love her sassy heroines, alpha heroes, and strong family bonds that are always in her stories.  This was Diesel and Tracey’s story, and it was such a heart-breaking story.  After Diesel’s mother died from cancer, he become part of the Dark Knights motorcycle club and drifted from town to town.  He never stayed anywhere very long until he was asked to watch over Tracey.  Tracey was a survivor and did not need the protection of the broody, over-protective, growly Diesel.  She had survived an abusive relationship and now had found friends and a home for herself.  Diesel planned to leave town soon but his attraction to Tracey kept him there.  She was the light he needed in his life.  I loved seeing Diesel and Tracey finally come together.  Diesel had always held himself apart from everyone, but Tracey made him want to be a better person and be part of a family.  I liked how the main characters had similar pasts and were able to help each other heal.  This was an emotional and heart-tugging story, but I enjoyed every minute of it and cannot wait for the next book.
