 Release Date: September 2

Stevie Foster thought her happy ever after would come easily after saying “I do” to her high school sweetheart at nineteen.

But twelve years later, she finds herself divorced, settling into a new home, in a new town, with a new job as an elementary teacher trying to pick up the pieces as she goes.

On top of struggling to cope with the future she always wanted versus the one she’s been dealt, she soon realizes that her new neighbor is a strict, stone-faced man she’s all too familiar with.

Lieutenant Colonel Fletcher Miller.

The man once in charge of her ex-husband’s unit.

And as if the reminder across the street of what she lost wasn’t painful enough, she also becomes his young son’s teacher.

A single dad. A divorcee. A second chance at love neither knew they’d get.

My review:
Make You Miss Me by B. Celeste
This was a new-to-me author, and I was curious after reading the blurb since it sounded so interesting. The book was a second chance at a love story that was beautifully written and heartbreaking. The characters were real-life, likable, and relatable. The story draws you in at the beginning and you feel as though you are part of it.
“…. it takes knowing the right person to realize the wrong ones don’t matter as much as you thought”
After being married to her high school sweetheart for twelve years, Stevie Foster finds herself rebuilding her life after having her heartbroken. Divorced and single for the first time in years, she has a new job, new home, and is starting over. She is dismayed to discover her neighbor is Fletcher Miller, her ex-husband CO, and his son is in her classroom.
“….if you truly love someone, you’d be willing to do whatever it takes to make them happy”
This beautiful story was Stevie's journey of healing and becoming confident in herself. Fletcher was an amazing man and father. He was direct speaking but also very patient and understanding of Stevie’s feelings. I loved the slow buildup of their romance because it allowed us to see all the many layers of Stevie and Fletcher. This is one of those books that will have you crying but you still want to reread it. I really enjoyed it and recommend it.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
