My review: 

Sweet, Sexy Heart is part of the Love in Bloom collection by Melissa Foster.  All of her books can be read as stand-alone and I love that about this series.  You can pick up any book and never need to worry about following along.  This book was just another example of why this author has become one of my favorites.  Her characters are always genuine, loveable, with real-life issues.  They are well written and very easy to read and devour in one sitting.

Amber Montgomery leads a quiet life as a bookstore owner in the small town of Oak Falls.  She tended to stay away from chaos and stress due to her medical history of epilepsy.  She was charmed by author Dash Pennington but knew he was not her type.  Unfortunately, her family doesn’t agree with her and keeps creating situations for them to meet.

Dash Pennington was tired of the fast-track his life had become after retiring from football.  He is ready to slow down after he finishes the tour for his first book.  Starting his book tour in Oak Falls was perfect and meeting Amber makes him crave life in small-town Oak Falls.  But first, he must convince her to step out of her comfort zone and give him a chance.

This was a wonderful story and I loved how sincere Dash was in his encouragement to Amber.  He was so interested in her that he took the time to research the medical condition of epilepsy.  Even though he wanted to always keep her safe, he never tried to stop her.  Instead, he was beside her offering encouragement.  He was persistent in winning her over but still respected her wishes.  They were such a sweet couple, and I was cheering for Dash the entire book.  I have loved every book I’ve read by Melissa Foster, but I think this has become one of my favorites.
