Opposites don’t just attract.
They captivate.
They entice.
They beckon.
As the medic for the Blackbridge Security team, he was just fine hanging out at the office in his spare time.
Jude Morris was…boring.
He didn’t need excitement.
He wasn’t a thrill-seeker.
Then he met a woman who was.
Parker Maxwell, the only woman able to captivate, entice, and beckon him, was his antithesis.
The up to his down.
The light to his dark.
The hot to his cold.
He couldn’t take his eyes off of her.
She didn’t seem to notice him.
It’s going to take heroic measures for this guy to win the girl.
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
My review:
Heroic Measures is the sixth book in the Blackbridge
Security series. As with all the books
in this series it can be read as a stand-alone but it is almost impossible to
not want to read the rest of the series after reading one of them. They are fast-paced and full of hot alpha
heroes. This was Jude and Parker’s story
and it’s another wonderful addition to the series.
Jude Morris was shy and hated to be in crowds or the
spotlight. As the medic for the
Blackbridge Security team, he was usually able to stay in the background. His new assignment was to help Quinten, who
we meet in Calculated Risk, teach women how to protect themselves. He was instantly taken with Parker but knew
he was out of her league.
Parker Maxwell did not do relationships but after one night
with Jude, she could not get him out of her mind. After watching her mother waste her life on a
man who didn’t want her, Parker refuses to give a man the power to hurt
her. But Jude makes her question her
decision and that makes her want to run faster.
Jude was such a sweet guy and so loveable, but I never came
to like Parker. She came off as being
selfish and a man user. When Jude
finally said he was done with her, then she decides she wants to have a
relationship with him. I understood her
fear of relationships, but I don’t feel like she respected Jude or his
feelings. However, I did enjoy the book
and look forward to future books from the author.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
