But does Molly have room in her life for love?

My Review:
Rating 5 out of 5
Three Makes a Family is the seventh book in the City By the Bay series but can be read as a stand-alone. I read it as a stand-alone but after meeting all the couples from the earlier books I really want to go back and read them. It was a clean, sweet romance that touched my heart. I loved seeing the friendships grow and the support the friends had for each other.
Molly McKinney and Drew Harrington went to law school together and were best friends. After graduation they each went to different areas of law. Molly had become one of the top criminal defense attorneys in Los Angeles while Drew had gone on to work for the District Attorney in San Francisco. Now ten years after graduation Molly is a single mom with no family and has moved to San Francisco to establish her new practice. Drew has been accused of witness tampering on a previous murder case and representing him would help Molly’s reputation. Drew fears he is being set up and refuses to have Molly represent him. He wants to protect Molly’s career, but he realizes he needs her help after someone starts bringing his family into the situation.
I loved Drew’s dedication to his family and how he was always trying to protect everyone else. He was willing to suffer the loss of his own career rather than have someone else’s life ruined. While working with Molly on his case, he realizes he works too hard and needs to balance his life by spending more time with his family. Molly was goal-oriented but was strong enough to change her life and become a single parent. Her love and concern for Hazel could be felt. She had never really been part of a family so bonding with Drew’s friends meant a lot to her. This was an amazing book full of good-hearted friendships, family love, and generosity.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
